TOPICS 1 - 3

Confidence

This is an area most people understand, you know if you have it, you know if you don't, however we often don't realise how to use it.

Confidence is also in flux, some situations we are happy to handle confidently, however, some situations we avoid or handle badly. If you handle a situation not feeling very confident this will lead to less control and this will lead to you bashing your self esteem which will make you less confident! and the circle will go on and usually in one direction, down!

I have designed sessions to find out the level of your confidence via quiz, test and role play. Once gauging your level we will investigate if you want to use it better or deal with any particular situations you find difficult.

Much of the work done in this confidence course/workshop or as an individual will be via discussion, role play, quiz, sometimes homework, question and answer slots and goal setting.

Communication

Communication is not just language, and sometimes language is not enough to interact with others.

These sessions will teach you various forms of communication which are not specialised but are at your fingertips.

The techniques are ones in which I have used in counselling with various people and organisations and find them true and tested with good results.

The sessions will include; using four senses exploring with others using artist materials, metaphors and music,  letter writing for inner release, listening without making judgements. Role play in pairs and group disscusion.

Body Language

Knowing a great deal about body language will probably make one very self conscious and possible suspicious of others, why? because if you understand all about others body language then others may be suspicious of you and so feel uncomfortable in your prescence.

Body language can be very usefull, particularly if your dealing with someone who you feel may not be quite what they seem or may be lying to you. A stronger view to look at body language is to check your own, is it saying the right things? or does it give you the wrong appearance? Often we think we are giving strong statements about how we are with others and usually positive, but if we ever see ourselves on film or hear ourselves on a tape recorder we gasp! 'thats not me, I didnt realise I do that' etc.

So, these sessions will identify how you see yourself, how others see you and how you can become aware of your body without being conscious of yourself. we will use role play, questions & answers,  and some techniques to be able to read others. Also when you have an understanding of body language we will look at how you use it and if you use it.
